Today is Balding Eagle’s birthday! Oh yea, and America’s. Every year, the family gets together at my aunts to celebrate. I knew she would have a fabulous cake made, but I wanted to do a little something too. I saw these Fourth-themed strawberries on Pinterest months ago and I’ve been waiting for today to try them out. They were so easy - and delicious. All it took was strawberries, white chocolate chips, and blue sprinkles.
To make them yourself, you’ll need to get everything prepped first. Set out a movable flat surface like a cookie sheet or cutting board to put your dipped strawberries on. Cover it with wax paper. This way, you will easily be able to move the strawberries into the refrigerator and the chocolate won’t stick to the wax paper. Wash and dry the strawberries next, then pour out the sprinkles in a small bowl. Get out another bowl and pour in your white chocolate chips. Put them in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then another 30 seconds, stir, then 15 seconds, then stir again and the chocolate should be perfectly melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate, because once it’s burned, it’s ruined. Once the chocolate is melted, dip each strawberry 2/3 of the way into the chocolate and then immediately dip it 1/3 of the way into the sprinkles so that there is an equal stripe of each color. After you dip the strawberries, place them on the wax paper and place them in the refrigerator until the chocolate is hard (at least an hour). Enjoy and happy Fourth of July!
